There & Back Again Light, Bristol Street Name by Bristol in a Box
From her tiny home studio in Clifton, photographer and maker Nina Allwood builds wooden light boxes in which she places her best prints to make her photos shine in low light. Her light boxes complement your home decor and add magic to any room when the light goes down. They are the perfect gift for that friend who's got everything! The balloons are also popular as night lights for young children.
There are so many funny street names in Bristol and this cul-de-sac is one of them. Cosy up your home decor with this monochrome lightbox.
This square light box is plug-in and handbuilt in sustainably sourced pine wood. It measures approximately 19 cm x 19 cm. Mains connected it has an on/off switch for ease of use. Its light is created by LED lights that don't generate any heat. Each light box comes with its UK power adapter.
The print is protected by clear acrylic glass. Nina always applies Danish oil on the wooden frame to help protect it and give it a nice lustre. Your light box will travel to its new home snug in a large padded mailing box sent First Class (Royal Mail) within 7-10 days.
Meet Nina Allwood
In 2010 I decided to leave my home town of Paris to settle in Bristol, UK. I rarely (never...) leave the house without my camera. Street photography is my passion and there's no such thing as a dull subject for me. Landscapes, people, colours and shapes; there is beauty in so many things. Dan, my partner, says the camera is the other man in my life :)
