When blended with organic cotton, bamboo can be used to create a super soft fabric that feels like a cross between silk and cashmere. It’s thermo-regulating, filled with micro-holes that help keep the wearer warm in winter and cool in summer, and hypoallergenic; it can sit next to the skin and won’t stick, rub or irritate. It’s also 100% biodegradable.
This t-shirt is made from 70% Bamboo Rayon blended with 30% Organic Cotton. Mabboo's bamboo clothing is ethically made, manufactured using 100% organically grown bamboo and organic cotton. Bamboo clothing is incredibly soft, odour-resistant, thermo-regulating and eco-friendly.

The idea behind Mabboo came to life in 2008 when Ed Cheney was in China trying to learn Mandarin. Whilst living in Qingdao, Ed stumbled across an article about a new eco fabric, bamboo!
He figured the bamboo was being grown in China and noticed a severe lack of companies trying to create fashionable eco-clothing both in China and back in the UK. Putting two and two together, Ed decided to create a new sustainable bamboo brand that draws on contemporary Chinese influences and so the Bristol brand Mabboo was born.
The Chinese character in the Mabboo logo is pronounced ‘zhu’ and means bamboo. If you look closely you can make out a silhouette for the ‘M’ of Mabboo.
