Meet Elaine Shaw

Elaine Shaw is a Bristol-based artist and studied at Cornwall College of Art. She has worked in various creative fields including design, advertising and film direction. In 2004 she began to paint full-time and has since exhibited in many galleries nationwide and abroad.

Her paintings, both landscape and figurative, explore colour, light and texture and Bristol has recently been a particular inspiration for her. Her work combines traditional painting techniques often with innovative use of other mediums including gold and silver leaf.
