The Bristol Scroll has a long history and will be remembered by many as the emblem of Bristol Omnibus Company. The badge was worn by drivers and conductors. It’s very difficult to find the original badges now, so these new chrome badges measuring 22mm high at the ‘B’ and 60mm long are the next best thing!
It is believed that the first time the Bristol Scroll appeared was on the cover of a publicity booklet published by The British & Colonial Aeroplane Company in October 1910. Bristol planes, trams and buses continued to display the scroll continuously for around 80 years. In relatively recent times, other Bristol companies have used the design in company and product names.
